After working in the computer industry for a few years, Lynne set up a web design company. Since 2000 she has also been managing our self build project in Carmarthenshire, West Wales and is currently finishing off her Masters Degree.

Gareth has previously worked as a R&D engineer in the electronics industry, but for the last twelve years he has been a lecturer in the university sector.

As we were among the first to introduce this breed to the UK we feel a certain responsibility towards the Boerboel in the UK, with this in mind Lynne contacted other responsible owners & breeders and together formed the UK Boerboel Club in 2002.

Although we didn't intend to breed from our pets when we originally went looking for family dogs, we really do feel that our two girls are super Boerboels and it would be such a shame if they weren't included in the UK breeding program. We feel that temperament is the most important thing to consider when choosing a large dog like the Boerboel and the line of dogs that ours come from do seem to have close to what is considered the ideal in this breed.
We wish we could say the same for all the dogs we've met.

Therefore we have made the decision to breed one of our dogs this year (2004). Suffice to say we have not made this decision lightly. We have made frequent trips to Europe allowing us to expand our knowledge of the breed, see many dogs and get to know other breeders; Lynne has attended courses in the field of animal husbandry & dog breeding as well as being the first person in Britain to achieve SABT certified breeder status by successfully completing their breeder's course.

We want to insure the general soundness of our dogs by health & genetic testing; as we are interested in producing sound, healthy and temperamentally-stable representatives of the breed.
If you are interested in owning a Boerboel we hope you will desire the same.

It is however an unfortunate fact of life that other people will also have an involvement in this area, who unfortunatley don't have these same goals in mind. Be careful.
